Introduction

For this assignment, I created a Free-form Exploration in Google Analytics 4 to analyze user behavior on my website. GA4 allows custom exploration of dimensions and metrics beyond standard reports, which helps uncover deeper insights.

Method

I used the following dimensions:

  • Device category
  • Town/City

And the following metrics:

  • Active users
  • Event count

This setup allowed me to compare user activity across different devices and locations.

Key Findings

The analysis showed that most users accessed the website from desktop devices. Seattle had the highest number of active users and event counts, indicating that it is the primary location of website traffic. Mobile usage was lower compared to desktop.

Conclusion

This exploration demonstrates how GA4 can be used to understand user behavior and engagement patterns. These insights can help improve website optimization and user experience.
