Summary of Activities and New Content Created

This week, I focused on creating new content for my Web Analytics Lab website and improving its overall structure. I created two new posts: one about my personal project, F1StrategyCompanion, and another analyzing user behavior using GA4 Exploration. These posts helped demonstrate both my academic work and personal interest in analytics and application development. I also added images, captions, and organized the content properly. Additionally, I spent time visiting other students’ websites to observe their layout, content structure, and design approaches, which helped me better understand how analytics-related content can be presented effectively.

GA4 Exploration Analysis Post:

Summary of my Exploration in GA4

I created a Free-form Exploration in Google Analytics 4 to analyze user behavior on my website. I used dimensions such as device category and town/city, and metrics including active users and event count. The results showed that most users accessed the website using desktop devices, and the majority of users were located in Seattle. Desktop users also generated more events compared to mobile users, indicating higher engagement. This exploration helped me understand how users interact with my website and provided useful insights into user behavior and engagement patterns.

New Observations from My Website

Using GA4 Exploration, I was able to see detailed information about my website visitors that I had not noticed before. I learned which devices users prefer and where they are located geographically. I also observed differences in engagement levels between desktop and mobile users. This helped me understand my audience better and showed how analytics can be used to improve website performance and user experience. It gave me a clearer understanding of how real user behavior can be tracked and analyzed.
