Introduction

Formula 1 strategy has always interested me, especially how teams decide when to pit and which tires to use. To better understand this, I started building my own iOS app called F1StrategyCompanion. This app simulates race strategy and allows users to explore how different decisions affect race outcomes.

What the App Does

The app allows users to simulate race scenarios by adjusting factors such as tire compound, tire age, lap number, and pit stop timing. Based on these inputs, the app predicts how the race strategy might perform. This helps visualize how small decisions can make a big difference in race performance.

Why I Built This Project

I built this project to combine my interests in Formula 1, data analytics, and software development. It helped me understand how race strategy works and how data can be used to model real-world systems. This project also allowed me to apply my skills in Swift and app development.

What I Learned

Through this project, I learned how to design simulation logic, handle user inputs, and build interactive interfaces using SwiftUI. It also helped me understand the importance of analytics and decision-making in Formula 1.

This project is still in progress, and I plan to continue improving its features.

The idea of the application is really good; I really wanted to know how you will handle user traffic.

Your post does a nice job explaining the F1StrategyCompanion app in a simple, engaging way that clearly shows your passion for F1 strategy and data modeling. I like how you break down what the app does and connect it directly to real race decisions, which makes the project feel practical and fun.
